Rachel, Leslye and I (MetroWest Regional Events, Campaign and Outreach Coordinators) are sitting on the Great Lawn at  Brandeis University, staring out into a crowd of 70 Brandesians rallying together for 100 percent Clean Electricity. We couldn’t have asked for a better night! Picture warm weather, colorful tents, jazz music, free pizza and  night frisbee…

We’re impressed with the diversity of students who turned out because it’s not our usual environmental crowd, but everyone is very receptive and excited about the bill. Already at least 50 people have made calls to Rep. Binienda and Speaker DeLeo, and we’ve left a message wishing the Speaker “Good Night!” We’re expecting almost the same number to sleep out in tents, to symbolize our disapproval of dirty electricity. The energy is high, and people seem excited about sleeping out again next weekend and on Earth Day.

Look out for a feature on this event in the Waltham Daily News Tribune.
